Extra 330 SC exhaust

At the request of the aerobatic pilots of the French team, we have designed a high-end exhaust without concession.

Our experience of REDBULL AIR RACES races has contributed to imagine a technically very accomplished and high performance exhaust;

It does not include a silencer and its use is dedicated exclusively to competition, which has always been the DNA of our company.

It is provided with a very innovative system of smokers, on the tailpipe, in order to produce smoke and to ensure a perfect visibility of the plane in the sky during the competitions

This exhaust is very light, thanks to the use of inconel in very thin thickness.

This product is the object of a specific collaboration with Extra Aircrafts which ensures the marketing of it.

Ce produit fait l’objet d’une collaboration spécifique avec Extra Aircrafts qui en assure la commercialisation .

Caractéristiques

The Extra Flugzeugbau Extra 300 is a family of high level aerobatic training and competition aircraft, designed from 1987 by the German manufacturer Extra Aircraft, on the basis of the Extra 230. There are two-seater and single-seater versions for aerobatic competitions or speed races

n its first version, the aircraft was built around a fuselage made of welded steel mesh covered with aluminum and fiberglass sheets and covered with canvas. The wing is placed in median position, it is out of carbon fiber, unlike the Extra 230 where it was out of wood. The landing gear is of traditional type with legs in composite materials.

The base engine of the Extra 300 is the 540 cubic inch (8,850 cc), 300 horsepower Lycoming AEIO-540 flathead 6-cylinder.

The Extra 300 is capable of carrying a load factor of +/- 10 g with one person and +/- 8 g in its two-seater version.

The basic -300 has evolved and its middle wing has been moved to a lower position. Single-seater versions were then developed from the basic airframe. Both the standard two-seater and single-seater aircraft are certified in Europe and the United States, which is an achievement for competition aircraft.

Since its introduction in the late 1990s, the 315-330 hp Lycoming AEIO-580 engine has attracted competitors who have mounted it on more or less experimental aircraft with the company’s support. The most striking example is the Extra 300SHP and then the Extra 300SR, specially developed for the Red Bull Air Race. Then this engine was installed in series on the last (2007) single-seater of competition Extra 330SC.
