Robin DR400 180 ch Exhaust

Exhaust connected type 4 in 1 with, four primary tubes of an identical length of 850m joined together in a Collector then in a tail pipe. A rotating tube allows to absorb the mobility between the primary Exhaust and the Silencer installed under the cockpit.

The respect of the identity of the lengths of the primary tubes allows an equivalent output for each cylinder, bringing a gain on the fuel consumption (approximately 10%) while decreasing the engine vibrations for a better comfort inside the cockpit.

The thermal recovery of the exhaust gas flow supplies the cabin heater. Intake heater box and cabin heater box installed respectively on leakage tube manifold.
The choice of materials with high thermal resistance ensures excellent reliability.

A revision of the Silencer is required every 600 hours for the necessary inspection of the soundproofing materials.

The installation of such equipment allows to be positioned in the class B of the Calypso classification.

This exhaust system has been the subject of a comparative test carried out by the DGAC. Between an equipped aircraft and a non-equipped aircraft the gain is 4.2 Db (a) (Source STNA ) Only our company has agreed to undergo this evaluation test
